Man charged with attempted murder after rage-fueled shooting in Howard County.

HOWARD COUNTY, Maryland – A Baltimore County man was charged with attempted murder Friday following a shooting on a highway in Howard County.

According to authorities, Quwan Gordon, 48, of Owings Mills, was arrested on August 13. Gordon was charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, and other related drug and weapons offenses.

According to police, the shooting occurred on August 12 at approximately 1:30 p.m. on I-95 northbound at mile marker 44 when Maryland State Troopers from Waterloo Barrack arrived in the area for a reported shooting.

The victims told authorities that the shooting was the result of an “aggressive” argument with another driver in a white Volkswagen. The victims were unharmed in the incident.

On site, police discovered that not only the bullets, but also the passenger compartment of the victim's car was riddled with bullet holes.

Investigators managed to identify and locate the white Volkswagen and the driver, who was later identified as Gordon.

According to authorities, a search warrant for Gordon's home and vehicle not only resulted in evidence linking him to the shooting of Howard, but also the seizure of suspected quantities of MDMA, fentanyl and a loaded handgun.

His arrest was without incident and he remains held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
