4 teens accused of car theft in Nashville arrested in Mt. Juliet, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – On Friday night, Mt. Juliet police arrested four teenagers who allegedly stole a car in Nashville.

Officers found the car on Lebanon Road near Mt. Juliet Road. As the car fled, police did not pursue it beyond city limits. However, the car returned to Mt. Juliet moments later and police used nail barricades to disable it.

A 14-year-old and three 15-year-olds were subsequently arrested. The teenagers left the car abandoned on the market square.

The car, a Nissan Altima, was stolen in Nashville on August 16 and the license plate was removed on August 22.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to the Metro-Nashville Police Aviation Unit, Wilson County Sheriff's Office, Lebanon Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol for their invaluable assistance,” police said.

“Special thanks also go to our off-duty officers who helped from home to ensure the arrest of the suspects.”
