Tragic incident at Anakapalli pharmaceutical factory claims young life

A tragic incident at Synergene Active Ingredients Pvt Ltd in Anakapalli district has claimed the life of 21-year-old Roya Angira. Angira, who suffered 60 percent burns, succumbed to his injuries during treatment, confirmed Anakapalli District Collector Vijaya Krishnan.

According to authorities, the fire started when a chemical powder and a chemical liquid were mixed, creating fumes and static electricity that triggered the explosion. The unfortunate incident is one of several tragic incidents in the district this week.

Syngene Active Ingredients, based in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, operates two branches in JN Pharma City and employs around 600 people. The district was also the site of a massive steam cloud explosion earlier this week, leaving 17 people dead and several injured.
