Vallejo police investigate fatal Saturday morning shooting – Times Herald Online

Vallejo police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday morning that resulted in the city's 16th homicide of 2024.

According to a VPD press release, officers responded to a critical incident in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Street at around 12:41 a.m. Saturday morning. Shortly afterward, the department requested assistance from Solano County Sheriff's Office officers to respond to the incident near Lewis Brown Road and BW Williams Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found that an adult male had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Unit arrived at the scene and took over the investigation. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation.
