'(Kim Mulkey) was secretly mad': Flau'jae Johnson's TikTok joke about the coach gets LSU starlet in big trouble

There's nothing better than relaxing in a scenic location during the offseason while enjoying your favorite fun social media trends. The Louisiana State University Lady Tigers also had the best time in Croatia and Greece during their offseason. The student-athletes had the chance to enjoy their 10-day study break in beautiful locations until a prank involving their head coach Kim Mulkey got out of hand and got Flau'jae Johnson in trouble.

Johnson was present on her podcast The best of both worlds with Flau'jae on Friday when she revealed Mulkey's reaction after the famous “give me my money” prank. Johnson said that although Mulkey laughed throughout the video, he got a little angry at her afterward, which became an embarrassing moment for her.

“And we went viral in Greece. We did the 'Give me my money' challenge with Coach Mulkey. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen, bro. We tried to do it with my, my assistant, our assistant coach, Coach Starkey, but he's on TikTok. He's the oldest guy I know that's on TikTok. But I knew Coach Mulkey would fall for it. She's not on social media. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. She went viral. She was secretly mad. She told me I wasn't playing now because I made that trend on her. So, Coach Mulkey, I'm sorry.” Johnson said via The best of both worlds with Flau'jae.

This was a study abroad program for the stars of the LSU Lady Tigers and therefore Johnson was accompanied by Mulkey, Aneesah Morrow and Amani Bartlett. The trip had stops in Split, Dubrovnik, Athens and Santorini. The program gave them the opportunity to learn about the history of different countries and reflect on their culture and social dynamics, according to LSU Sports. But just as any trip is incomplete without fun, there were plenty of pranks here too.

In the video posted by Johnson, she is seen on a cruise ship with her head coach Morrow, Wilson and Bartlett. The four girls are seen saying “Give me my money” one by one while the others cheer and clap for them. But when it came to Mulkey, all the girls kept quiet and Mulkey was the only culprit in the prank. Although she was seen laughing about it at the time, Johnson revealed that she was also secretly angry about it. Meanwhile, Johnson also opened up about her time abroad.

Johnson revealed that, contrary to fans' expectations, it was not a vacation trip. Instead, the athletes went there as part of a study abroad program. One of the most breathtaking moments was when the Lady Tigers had the opportunity to take a tour of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is known as a filming location for the Game of Thrones series, so they must have had a lot of fun.

Johnson, however, ended her anecdote by saying she was happy to be back in America. One person who was certainly missing from the trip is Angel Reese, who now plays in the WNBA. Fans wish the program had organized a trip with her.

Hopefully Mulkey has calmed down by now. And maybe she won't mind if Johnson uses a similar trick again to gain some followers on social media.
