Former Mizzou Edge Darius Robinson is out until week five due to injury

Former Missouri defensive end and first-round draft pick Darius Robinson suffered a calf injury earlier this week on August 22 and was subsequently carried off the field.

After conducting imaging and scans, it was determined that Robinson will be out until at least Week 5 of the NFL season. Week 5 is the earliest he will be back on the field. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Robinson could be placed on the injured list.

Robinson was selected 27th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the last NFL Draft and appeared to have a solid preseason. In just one preseason game appearance, Robinson made a single tackle in a matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

For the Tigers last season, he recorded 43 tackles, 14 for loss and 8.5 sacks in 12 games. He was a leader for Missouri last season and one of the team's five captains. Several Tigers players this preseason have praised Robinson's leadership and mentorship of the players below him in the rankings.
