2 people sustained gunshot wounds in overnight shooting in Duluth

DULUTH, Minnesota (Northern News Now) – Two people were shot in an incident in Duluth early Saturday morning.

According to authorities, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of East 3rd St. around 2:15 a.m.

When the emergency services arrived, the police found two victims.

According to police, a 56-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest was taken to a local hospital and remained there as of Saturday afternoon.

A 29-year-old man also suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and took himself to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police say the incident is currently under investigation.
