General Hospital spoilers suggest that it's been a little less than a year since Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) was murdered in his home, and his killer has never been found. Whoever killed Austin apparently taunted Ava Jerome (Maura West) with disturbing messages and images related to the murder. But then the messages stopped, and Austin is largely forgotten. But his killer has yet to be brought to justice.

Shortly before Austin was murdered, he wanted to present evidence accusing Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) of several crimes that the police had not yet attributed to the drug lord.

Cyrus probably didn't kill Austin himself, as he himself had only recently been released from Pentonville. But there might be someone else who had been Cyrus' ally for some time.
