Police arrest man after fatal stabbing in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police have arrested a man who they say stabbed another man during a fatal stabbing earlier this week.

According to police, 36-year-old Christopher Rhodd was taken to jail and faces second-degree murder charges for the death of 34-year-old Efren Partida.

On Monday, police were called to a stabbing near 16th Street and Indian School Road around 8 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Partida stabbed to death. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

According to the police report, Rhodd was later taken to the hospital after he was also injured in the stabbing.

Rhodd was released from the hospital and taken into custody on Friday.
