Sangareddy organizes “Freedom Walk” to combat drug abuse among young people

SANGAREDDY: There has been a serious rise in drug abuse among youth in recent times. The district administration, district police department and Sahara Hospitals in Sangareddy organised a three-km 'Freedom March' on Saturday with an aim to eradicate drug use.

SP CH Rupesh was the guest of honour at the 3km freedom march from the district office to the court. He said that students must set high goals and work hard to fulfil their dreams. “The first 25 years of a person's life are very crucial. If you study well, you can reach the highest peaks. Life is very beautiful but if you get addicted to gutka, cigarettes and other vices, you lose everything in life,” the SP advised and thanked the enthusiasts and youth who participated in the march in large numbers.

He stressed that films encourage the development of bad habits among young people and said that young people should not abuse the trust of their parents and become a burden to the country through their addictions.

At a time when there are so many options, young people are making the wrong choices. This joint initiative is novel, necessary and a call to action.
