Controversial crossdresser Bobrisky regains his freedom

After serving a six-month prison sentence for misusing naira at a party, controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, was released on Monday.

Bobrisky, who identifies as a woman but admitted to being a man at his sentencing in April, was reportedly released on August 5.

A video of his release from Kirikiri Correctional Centre went viral and was eagerly awaited by his fans.

Interestingly, Bobrisky notices a new look, contrary to what his fans expected after his time in prison.

Not only did he look fresher and have a lighter complexion, his cheeks also looked fuller, which surprised his fans.

Bobrisky was accompanied in a Mercedes-Benz G-Class by his friends, actress Moyo Lawal and filmmaker Eniola Ajao, who presented Bobrisky with the infamous “Best Dressed Female Award” at the premiere of her movie Beasts of Two Worlds, and CEO Luminee, a star fashion designer.

In the video, Bobrisky is seen dancing in high spirits as his friends praise him and call him beautiful. They said: “We are out; congratulations Bobrisky; we are out to be famous. You don't dare.”

After his release, the cross-dresser spoke out against the practice of spraying money. He stressed that not only violent crimes can lead to a prison sentence.

Bobrisky also explained that his time in prison had been challenging, stressing that inmates must strictly follow the rules and regulations of the correctional facility.
