Woman threatens neighbors with gun in Clackamas County, arrested after standoff with SWAT team

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – A woman who threatened her neighbors with a gun prompted a SWAT team response Friday, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Officers arrived at the scene of a home on SE Don Vizo Court in unincorporated Clackamas County around 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon after receiving a call that a woman was threatening her neighbors with a crossbow.

There they encountered 61-year-old Lori Lee Amos, who was still in the house when they arrived. Several attempts to contact Amos were unsuccessful, and eventually the Clackamas County SWAT team was called.

After a standoff lasting hours, Amos was finally taken into custody on Friday evening around 10:45 p.m.

She was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of menacing and unlawful use of a weapon. Police have not confirmed if the weapon was a crossbow.
