CBI team reaches Kolkata jail to conduct lie detector test of accused Sanjay Roy

Hello readers. The CBI on Saturday started polygraph tests on former director of RG Kar Medical and Hospital Sandip Ghosh and five others. This is part of the investigation into the rape and murder case of a woman doctor at the institute. A case of alleged financial irregularities has also been registered in the same establishment. However, the polygraph test of arrested main accused Sanjay Roy has been postponed due to technical issues and the central investigation agency will soon fix a new date. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Police has extended the stay-at-home orders near the government-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital for another week till August 31. BJP to block roads on UGC-NET exam day to lead march to West Bengal Chief Minister's office, says Saket Gokhale

The BJP plans to block the roads on the day of the UGC-NET exam to lead a march to the office of the West Bengal Chief Minister.

After making students suffer during the NEET exams through paper leaks and irregularities, the BJP now wants to prevent UGC-NET candidates from appearing in the exam.

The West Bengal Police is providing security arrangements on August 27, the day on which UGC-NET is held and an organisation called ‘Paschimbanga Chhatro Samaj’ is conducting ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’.
