The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, says that the struggle against oppression has been going on since before the era of Imam Hussein (AS), adding that the struggle has taken different forms in different eras.

He made the remarks during a Sunday ceremony attended by students mourning Arba'in, the 40th day after the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shiite Imam.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the struggle between the Husseini front, which fights against oppression, and the front of injustice and oppression is still ongoing.

“The fight between the Hosseini front and the Yazidi front cannot be ended,” he added.

The leader also noted that these two fronts existed even before the era of Imam Hussien (AS) and have existed up to now and this will continue to be the case.

“This war takes different forms. In the age of sword and spear it takes one form. In the age of atom and artificial intelligence it takes another. But it exists,” he claimed.
