Inside the multi-million dollar drug ring in the Hamptons, where wealthy clients dined with dealers and were chauffeured in a Mercedes to buy top-of-the-line cocaine

It's the swankiest street in the Hamptons – the Rodeo Drive of the East End – where, if you have money to spend, you can create an inferno at Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton or Prada.

And at least until recently, Newtown Lane in East Hampton Village was also the place where you could buy high-quality cocaine from a drug dealer in a Mercedes, who would pick up the customer at a fancy Italian restaurant and take him to a more secluded location to complete the deal.

And this wasn't a street drug laced with fentanyl or bath salts. This was the real stuff – “a much purer, higher quality product,” a source familiar with the scheme told DailyMail.com.

But now the entire multi-million dollar drug business has collapsed following the arrest of the alleged drug lords who controlled the Hamptons.

More than 80 felony charges have been brought against 44-year-old Michael Khodorkovskiy of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, a private ride-sharing driver, and 38-year-old Uber driver Alexandr Dyatchin, who rented a summer home in the millionaires' playground.

According to police, the two men ran a cocaine delivery service that served exclusive locations in the Hamptons, from Newtown Lane to the prestigious Montauk Yacht Club and all locations in between.

And what Khodorkovsky and Dyatchin did not know: Many of their deals were not made with high rollers who wanted to go even higher, but with undercover investigators.

The arrests have sent shockwaves through the summer oasis – nowhere more than at Cittanuova, a swanky Italian restaurant across the street from Chanel and next door to Zimmermann – a store recommended by Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, where a regular dress costs more than $2,000.

At Cittanuova, Khodorkovsky met with his guests without the knowledge of the restaurant owners. “He has no connection whatsoever with the restaurant or its staff,” Cittanuova said in a statement.

Khodorkovsky, a U.S. citizen, was arrested near his Brooklyn home around noon on August 2. He had previously been convicted of strangulation in New York City and is currently on probation.

Dyatchin was arrested around the same time that East Hampton police, along with the East End Drug Task Force, raided his second home in Springs, a slightly less respectable part of East Hampton.

The two are being held on bail of two million dollars each or a surety bond of twenty million dollars secured by a ten percent deposit.

However, according to Crown Prosecutor Rob Archer, both men face further charges and one or both could be in custody without the possibility of bail.

According to prosecutors, the two men have earned more than a million dollars from their drug trafficking since spring 2003.

The arrests have sent shockwaves through the resorts - especially at Cittanuova, a posh Italian restaurant in the elite East Hamptons neighborhood, where Khodorkovsky met his customers without the knowledge of its owners.

According to Archer, an assistant district attorney in the drug unit, the two men “worked together.” Khodorkovsky handled clients on Newtown Lane, while Dyatchin handled clients in the eastern part of the county, including Amagansett and Montauk. Several sales took place at the exclusive Montauk Yacht Club.

Among the places where Dyatchin did business are a Stop and Shop supermarket in East Hampton, the Beach Bounce restaurant in Montauk and Rosie's, a trendy eatery in Amagansett.

None of the companies named in the criminal complaints were accused of wrongdoing.

Both men picked up their customers, took a short drive and completed the drug sale, prosecutors say

According to Archer, when police searched Khodorkovsky's Brooklyn home, they found over a kilogram of cocaine and a hoard of gold coins worth over $100,000.

According to Archer, Khodorkovsky has a bank account with over $130,000.

Khodorkovsky is currently charged with 47 felony counts, the most serious of which are four counts of first-degree sale of narcotics, a Class A-1 felony. The four sales each involved more than two ounces of pure cocaine, the indictment says.

Archer stated that Khodorkovsky has not yet been charged with first-degree drug possession following the raid on his Brooklyn apartment, which he said will happen shortly. In addition, Archer indicated that more charges are forthcoming, including under New York State's strictest drug laws, which would charge the defendants as drug kingpins.

During the raid on Dyatchin's apartment, police reportedly found $19,000 in cash and over half a kilogram of cocaine, which was already packed in hundreds of packages and ready for shipment.

He had recently moved back to the Hamptons from Florida. Police confiscated the Mercedes Benz he was allegedly working in, as well as a motorcycle.

While Khodorkovsky dealt exclusively in cocaine, Dyatchin also sold several doses of MDMA, known on the street as Molly or in Montauk as Ecstasy, to undercover agents.

Archer asked that bail for both be set at a minimum of $2 million and that the source of the bail should first be verified to ensure it was not illegally obtained funds. He also pointed out that even more serious charges will likely be brought to justify the high bail demand.

Tony Mirvis, representing Khodorkovsky, and Kenneth Russo, representing Dyachin, both argued against the high bail. Mirvis pointed out that his client had never missed a court date and that such a high bail amounted to being held without bail. Russo said his client had never been arrested before and had family members in the courtroom.

Dyatchin's sister, who lives in New Jersey, was in the audience.

Archer said Dyatchin's U.S. residency visa had expired, as had his passport. Archer, who was born in Russia, said Dyatchin was a Serbian citizen.
