2 seriously injured, suspect in custody, after shooting in Shreveport | Crime

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – Two people are hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot near the Clear Horizons Apartments at Illinois Avenue and Kennedy Drive in Shreveport.

A possible shooter is in custody.

The shooting occurred shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.

According to Shreveport police, officers rushed to a fight. While they were dealing with the crowd on site, shots were fired.

An adult man and an adult woman were shot in the lower back. They were transported in a private vehicle with life-threatening injuries.

K9 officers attempted to stop a vehicle that left the scene, resulting in a brief chase.

According to the SPD, there was an accident involving the suspect vehicle, after which a person was arrested by a police dog.
