BTS' Suga writes another apology letter for drunk driving and confusion over first post: “It's all my fault”

BTS member Suga, aka Min Yoongi, has written another long apology message to his fans after he was involved in a drunken incident. Suga took to Weverse on Sunday and clarified the first apology, which was hastily posted and caused confusion. Suga’s apology

Suga's message read, “Hello, I'm Suga. I would like to apologize to you once again in shame. I deeply apologize for the disappointment and pain of my misconduct towards my fans and everyone who loves me. I made a big mistake when I forgot the responsibility to thank you with actions worthy of the love I received.”

He added: “On the night of August 6, I made the mistake of driving to India on an electric scooter while drunk. I am also sorry for the confusion caused by my first apology that I hastily posted on the 7th. I should have thought more carefully and been more careful, but I couldn't. It's all my fault. My carelessness is making life difficult for everyone who cares about me. I will try not to do anything wrong again and live with regret.”

He noted how much this incident has damaged BTS's name, saying, “Through this incident, I have greatly damaged the precious memories I created with the members and fans and put a lot of pressure on BTS's name. I am so sorry and hurt that it is hard to put into words because of the damage it does to the members and the team. I am sorry that the members who have always trusted me are having such a hard time because of me. And I know how disappointed the fans who have supported and supported me must have been.”

He added: “I just feel sorry for the fans who gave me too much love… I know it's difficult to heal the wounds and disappointments my fans suffered with my words, so I deeply regret it and think about it every day with a heavy heart. Once again, I sincerely apologize to the fans who were hurt by me.

A few days ago, BTS' agency BigHit Music issued another statement regarding Suga's drunk driving case, apologizing for communicating “false information due to internal communication errors.” As Soompi reports, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul said it had arrested Suga, aka Min Yoongi, for riding an electric scooter while drunk. Later, both the agency and Suga released separate statements regarding the incident, describing the vehicle as an “electric kickboard.” The police later clarified that the vehicle Suga “drove while drunk was classified as an electric scooter with a seat.”
