ATLANTIC CITY – A former professional boxer has been sentenced to more than two decades in prison for stabbing an Egg Harbor Township man to death at the Ocean Casino Resort.

Andrew Osborne, 35, of Philadelphia was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison. He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before being eligible for parole, the Atlantic County District Attorney's Office said.

Osborne pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of 47-year-old Brian Wilkinson of Egg Harbor Township.

Wilkinson's body was found in his hotel room at the Ocean Casino Resort on September 23, 2022.

Osborne confessed to stabbing Wilkinson. The former mixed martial artist then fled the city.

According to court documents, Wilkinson was stabbed in the head and neck, NJ.com reported.

Surveillance footage showed Osborne wearing Wilkinson's shoes and pants after the murder, the report said.

Three days later, Osborne was arrested in Philadelphia.

According to ESPN, Osborne fought three times as a professional in 2012 and 2013. He finished with a record of 1-2.

According to independent MMA website Tapology.com, he continued fighting for several years and had a record of 7-11-1.
