Men accused of robbing WBR Parish supermarket, officials say

PORT ALLEN, Louisiana (WAFB) – Police are asking the public for help in identifying several men accused of robbing a Port Allen convenience store.

According to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24.

Several men arrived at the River Road store in an older Dodge Ram pickup truck, officials said, adding that the men are accused of entering the convenience store, demanding an employee's cellphone and then stealing a large quantity of tobacco products.

The defendants managed to escape from the crime scene, the deputies said.
