Omaha police investigate shooting in North Omaha

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Omaha police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured at the corner of 25th Street and Ames, a statement said.

Officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts near 25th and Ames and 25th and Taylor streets at 4:12 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found numerous shell casings, according to the statement.

At 4:26 a.m., officers responded to Immanuel Hospital after the victim, Bobby McMillan, 35, arrived in a private vehicle.

McMillan told officers he was driving near 25th and Ames Avenue when he was shot by an unknown assailant, the statement said. McMillan's injuries are not life-threatening.
