Suspect arrested after fatal stabbing on Dorchester Avenue

BOSTON – Detectives from the Boston Police Department's Homicide Division and District C-11 have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing on Dorchester Avenue, authorities said Saturday.

David Adams, 38, of Dorchester, was charged with murder after he was arrested by police on Saturday, August 24.

The arrest followed intensive investigations into a stabbing that had occurred the night before.

While searching for video evidence in the Dorchester Avenue area, detectives identified a person matching the suspect's description.

Further investigations confirmed Adams as the perpetrator of the stabbing.

The first incident occurred on Friday, August 23, at approximately 9:59 p.m., when District C-11 officers responded to reports of a stabbing at 1879 Dorchester Ave.

Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim with numerous stab wounds.

The victim was quickly transported by Boston Emergency Services to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Following his arrest, Adams was transported to Precinct C-11 for booking and is scheduled to face arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
