Prosecutor: Man arrested for murder after fatal stabbing in New Bedford – Boston News, Weather, Sports

NEW BEDFORD, MASS. (WHDH) – A man has been arrested on murder charges in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old man in New Bedford Saturday afternoon, officials said.

According to the Bristol District Attorney's Office, officers responding to a reported stabbing at 68 South Street found Omil Padilla-Corsino with life-threatening stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, Juan Padilla-Santana of Puerto Rico was arrested for murder. He is a relative of Padilla-Corsino and was allegedly stabbed during a dispute among family members.

Padilla-Santana is scheduled to be arraigned in New Bedford District Court on Monday morning.
