Man charged with first-degree murder after shooting in Crockett County, sheriff says

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) – The Crockett County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a man accused of shooting a victim.

Ephrim O'Neal Cook, 66, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Fredrine Booker; the suspect is also accused of possession of a handgun during the commission of a dangerous crime.

Cook has a criminal past and was released on bail for aggravated assault and failure to appear.

He will appear before a judge for arraignment and is being held without bail in the Crockett County Jail.
