Update from the City of Sheridan on the shooting of Sheridan Police Sergeant Nevada Krinkee – Sheridan Media

From the city of Sheridan.

Following the tragic death of Sergeant Nevada Krinkee of the City of Sheridan Police Department on February 13, the City and our Police Department have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support across our community, region and state, including from many partners across the country.

We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences. The City is extremely grateful to the cities of Gillette and Casper for their immediate response yesterday in sending officers to augment our force and provide physical and moral support to our first responders.

It has never been more evident that there are so many people in Wyoming ready to step in when the going gets tough. We are grateful. As of 9:00 a.m. this morning, the situation is still undecided, but we have the right people in control of the situation and we remain hopeful for a peaceful resolution.

Although roads were icy overnight, our officers continue to patrol and respond to numerous crashes. Our community has been deeply affected by this tragedy. We are resilient and continue to stand together during this difficult time.
