“Tragic boating accident” on New Jersey coast under investigation

HARVEY CEDARS, NJ — A “tragic boating accident” Sunday evening off the New Jersey shore is under investigation, police said.

Harvey Cedars Police shared the news via a Facebook post, but no details were immediately available. Police in the Long Beach Island city and New Jersey State Police are jointly investigating the accident.

“As the investigation is still in its early stages, we ask that you keep the family and community in your thoughts and prayers,” police said.
