Man arrested for drug trafficking

Ludhiana: The CIA-II from Ludhiana Police Department arrested a Air conditioning technician for Drug trafficking after police recovered 500 grams of opium from him. The accused Sooraj (27) of Khasi Kalan village was arrested in Khasi Kalan village following a tip-off. Inspector Bikramjit Singh said Sooraj was first arrested for drug trafficking in September 2023 and served a jail term. In October 2023, he was released on bail and started smuggling drugs again. A case has been filed against him. The accused is being questioned about the smuggler from whom he procured opium. tnn
