Hewlêr authorities sentence teacher to prison for giving candy to guerrillas

The Hewlêr Court, affiliated to the KDP authorities, held a special session today to try teacher Luqman Najm Bajid on false charges and allegations.

The court sentenced the teacher Luqman Najm to one year and six months in prison on the pretext of giving the guerrillas three boxes of biscuits.

The teacher Luqman Najm Bajid had previously been arrested twice in a row by the forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party for taking part in protests demanding more teachers' rights.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first woman against whom the Kurdistan Democratic Party courts have passed judgments against freedom fighters, teachers, journalists and activists. Anyone who criticizes KDP officials and accuses them of being members of the PKK or working for a foreign party is subject to false accusations.
