A Fox host was arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Matt Vereen, 28, a weekend anchor and sports reporter at South Carolina affiliate station WACH FOX 57, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, the state Attorney General's Office announced.

WIS-TV has obtained disturbing arrest warrants that detail how investigators from the Columbia Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the state Task Force on Internet Crimes Against Children found child pornography on his laptop.

An arrest warrant states that officers found a digital photograph of a girl between the ages of 11 and 13 in a sexually suggestive pose on his MacBook.

Others claim he purchased a 1 minute and 32 second video of a naked 13-year-old girl standing in front of a camera and another video of a 13-year-old girl twerking naked in the bathroom.

Investigators said they tracked Vereen down through Gmail records, Apple records and another record that was redacted.

Vereen has worked as a sports anchor and reporter for WACH FOX 57 for nearly three years and previously worked as a sports reporter and anchor for KOLR, a news station in Springfield, Missouri.

WACH FOX 57 now stated that they are aware of the seriousness of these allegations and noted that Vereen has been suspended pending the completion of the investigation.

“As this is a personnel matter, the station will not be making any further comment at this time,” a spokesman for the news channel told WIS-TV.
