Last farewell in Ceballos for four victims of cruel crimes

Shocked by the terrible crime that shook Cuba this weekend, the residents of Ceballos In Ciego de Avila This Sunday, say a final goodbye to the four murder victims: a child, a teenager and their mothers.

Videos uploaded to social media show the funeral procession carrying the bodies of Richard Dariel Nunezfour years old; Lester Rivadeneira Rodriguez17 years old; Yamila Reyes Tamayo29 years old; and Raysa Rodriguez Perez de Corcho50 years old, taken to the local cemetery. They were killed in a suspected robbery at a house on Saturday morning.

The independent newspaper CubaNet reported that police arrested brothers Luis Enrique And Leudys Romero DaudinotAnd Esnel Fonsecaallegedly linked to the crime. So far, the Cuban authorities have not released any official information on the arrests related to this gruesome event that has left two Cuban families and an entire community in mourning.

The incident occurred between six and seven o'clock on Saturday morning in the “Old Bakery” neighborhood of Ceballos. According to a neighbor who spoke to CubaNet, the thieves hid in an abandoned house opposite the house where the crime was committed. They waited until the father of one of the families went to work on his farm before entering the house, allegedly to steal money from the sales.

His wife and their young son were inside the house and were both brutally attacked and killed by the intruders. According to relatives of the victims, a neighbor and her teenage son responded to the mother and child's cries for help, but were also murdered.
