1 dead and 2 injured in shooting in north Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – One man was killed and two other people were injured in a shooting in north Sacramento early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on Orlando Way near Van Ness Street.

According to police, a man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene and was not identified.

Another person was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound and is expected to recover. Another victim checked himself into the hospital and is expected to recover.

Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and took over the investigation.

No information about a suspect has been released.
