Stay away from electoral issues and instant justice as no chief will intervene if caught – Aburihene | Social

The Akuapem Adontenhene, also known as Akuapem Aburihene, Otobour Gyan Kwasi, has urged youth in his home region to abide by the rule of law and follow the electoral process peacefully to avoid trouble.

He also believes that young people should refrain from causing trouble and immediately bringing suspects to court, but instead rely on the police to take action in such situations.

He added that Akuapem Aburi is developing rapidly due to its proximity to the Greater Accra Region where many high-ranking dignitaries reside, hence the need to maintain peace and order in this traditional area.

This message was conveyed in a speech read by the Queen Mother of the Traditional Area, Awo Amene II, on behalf of Otobour Gyan Kwasi during a foundation stone laying ceremony to inaugurate the construction of a state-of-the-art police station in Aburi. The project, being implemented by Ghana Gas, will serve as the Aburi Divisional Police Command.

Once completed, the Divisional Police Command is expected to be among the best in Africa and serve as a model for law enforcement institutions across the continent.

Otobour Gyan Kwasi praised Ghana Gas for its quick response time to their request.

Awo Amene, the Queen Mother of Akuapem Aburi and Adontenghemaa, speaking on behalf of her chief, Otobour Gyan Kwasi, affirmed that the days of chiefs intervening in police stations on behalf of suspects are over. History has changed.

The guest of honour at the groundbreaking ceremony was Akuapem Awhirase Adehyehene Nana Opare Kwarfo, who also thanked Ghana Gas for the impactful project which, once completed, will bring great benefits to the community.

He spoke about the difficulties and frustrations faced when contacting the Police Divisional Command in Akropong.
