Famous Friend – “Blue”

Famous Friend is the project of Los Angeles-based writer/producer/artist Zachariah Carlson, who caught our attention earlier this year with his single “Nora.”

“Blue” is a very upbeat and playful mix of 80s-style indie rock and pop, reminiscent of artists like The Drums and Del Water Gap, and has a natural charm that reaches far, alongside the stunning pop hooks.

Carlson says of the song:

“'Blue' is about leaving the world behind, coming into the present and going swimming with someone you love. Your soundtrack for long beach days or a scenic drive with your favorite person. The song was inspired by the work of photographer Toni Frissell (album cover) and her dreamy and clear photographs of life in the 50s.”
