1 dead, 2 injured in overnight shooting in Garland – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Garland police are investigating a fatal weekend shooting that left one person dead and two others injured early Sunday morning.

According to a press release, police responded to a weapons possession call shortly after 12:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of West Walnut Street near Shiloh Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. All three were transported to local hospitals. One of the three victims succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

According to police, another person is in critical condition.
