New security incident reported near Yemen

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Coordination (UKMTO) said it had received a report of a small boat approaching at high speed from the starboard side of the vessel.

The incident occurred 55 nautical miles southeast of Aden in Yemen, it said.

Yemenis have declared their open support for the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory's Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise retaliatory attack, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying forces.

Yemeni forces have said they will not stop their attacks until the relentless Israeli ground and air offensives in the Gaza Strip, which have killed at least 27,948 people and injured another 67,459, end.

In December, the United States and Britain announced a military coalition to attack Yemen in support of Israel.
