Lincoln man charged with causing a public nuisance in a park and possession of child pornography

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – A lengthy investigation following a report of a public nuisance at a park in June led to the arrest of a Lincoln man.

Jon Corbin, 54, was taken into custody Friday and booked into the Lancaster County Jail. He is charged with possession of child pornography, child enticement and child molestation.

Lincoln Police officers responded to a report of a public nuisance in Holmes Lake Park on June 23 that occurred in a portable restroom.

A nine-year-old child told police that a man came into the restroom they were using and exposed himself, police said.

After the suspect was identified as Corbin, a lengthy investigation began that included the seizure of the suspect's cell phone and a search warrant for the device.

“We would like to express our gratitude to the victim for having the courage to speak out and to our investigators for their diligence in this case which led to the arrest of the perpetrator,” Lincoln police wrote.
