United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said it received a report of an incident 61 miles southeast of the Yemeni city of Mocha on Monday.

UKMTO reported the master of an unmanned surface vessel (USV) in close proximity to his ship. Two other small boats were also observed approximately two nautical miles north of the USV.

Separately, British security company Ambrey announced on Monday that it was aware of an incident that occurred about 80 nautical miles southwest of Aden in Yemen.

Since November, Iranian-linked Houthi militants have been attacking international ships near Yemen to show their solidarity with Palestinians in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. (Reporting and editing by Alex Richardson, Hugh Lawson and Tala Ramadan)
