Rudy Giuliani pleads not guilty in Arizona electoral fraud case

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to nine counts related to his role in efforts to overturn Donald Trump's 2020 election loss in Arizona.

The judge overseeing the “fake electors” case in Arizona, in which several Trump allies are accused of alleged attempts to overturn the outcome of the 2020 election in the state, has set a trial date of January 5, 2026.

At a hearing in Phoenix on Monday, Arizona Supreme Court Judge Bruce Cohen heard several motions from the defendants' attorneys, including some requests to dismiss the lawsuit.

Many of the defendants, including Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, appeared virtually.
