BATTLE OF THE WEEK: SNEAK SHOPPING BUM

Reported at 6:41 p.m. on August 23: While a woman was drinking coffee with a friend at Sadelle's, Highland Park VillageA thief stole her wallet and attempted to rack up over $9,000 in charges on her Louis Vuitton credit cards.

UNIVERSITY PARK

19 Monday

Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested a man on outstanding warrants at approximately 12:35 a.m. Mockingbird Trail.

The harassment was reported at 10:25 a.m. on Glenwick Lane.

20 Tuesday

A tracker stuck an airtag to a vehicle Purdue Street before 5:40 am

21 Wednesday

A license plate thief stole the license plate of a vehicle on Amherst Street before 8:33 am

Report at 15:24: A fraudster cheated an elderly resident of Asbury Avenue.

A villain did not have to make an effort to steal a vehicle, Milton Avenue Before 18:52 it remained unlocked.

Officers arrested a man for drunk driving at around 10:35 p.m. Wentwood Street.

A fraudster committed a financial fraud before 8:31 p.m. in a store on The Street of Lovers.

19 Monday

Officers arrested a man for violating the laws on open possession of drug paraphernalia and an expired driver's license at approximately 4:20 a.m. in the 4000 block of Lexington Avenue.

Report at 8:22 a.m.: A greedy thief stole several pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $150,000 from an apartment in Willowood Circle while the owners of the house were out of town.

Police arrested a man on multiple warrants who did not identify himself and resisted arrest at around 7:37 p.m. in 4400 block of Fairfax Avenue.

20 Tuesday

Between 0:57 and 1:57 a.m., parcel thieves stole a package with unknown contents from an apartment in 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.

21 Wednesday

A thief used an unlocked 2010 Acura TL that was parked at Whole Foods Market in 4100 block of Lomo Alto DriveThe crook stole a Harbor Freight tool bag containing $60 worth of tools and a Harbor Freight auto diagnostic tool valued at $150 from the trunk of the car.

22 Thursday

Officers arrested two men, one on a warrant and the other on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, driving without a license and a warrant, at around 2:46 a.m. in the 5500 block of Preston Road.

An impatient driver collided with a BMW X3 (model year 2019) that was waiting at the intersection. Beverly Drive and Preston Road at about 8:34 p.m., then drove off without leaving any information.

23 Friday

Police arrested a man for possession of a controlled substance at approximately 4:17 a.m. in the 4800 block of Lemmon Avenue.

A 2010 Toyota Corolla parked in the 4300 block of Fairfax Avenue had to be towed after being hit by a reckless roadster before 6 p.m. that left no information.

How easy was it for a thief to steal a Lululemon fanny pack, a Coach wallet, credit and debit cards, a backpack, clothing, a driver's license, a Dell laptop, makeup, an Apple Watch, Beats headphones and $200 cash from a BMW X5 parked in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue? The car was unlocked.

24 Saturday

A thief fled before 10 a.m. with house keys and an Audi key chain that were in the lock of the front door of a house in the 4600 block of Belclaire Avenue.

Police arrested a man for failure to identify himself, driving without a valid license, insurance and registration and on warrants around 6:30 p.m. in 5400 block of Douglas Avenue.
