According to a press release from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Judge Stephen Corr also sentenced Miguel Angel Sanchez, 33, of Sellersville, to five years of probation and told him he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

“You are a despicable person,” Corr reportedly told Sanchez at the sentencing after his victim's mother told the court he was “pure evil.”

Sanchez, who was arrested late last year, had previously pleaded guilty to numerous counts of rape, sexual assault and related offenses.

The investigation that led to his arrest and conviction began in October 2023, when Quakertown police took a report of a rape that had occurred the previous evening in a supermarket parking lot. According to authorities, the victim told police that a man, later identified as Sanchez, had raped her in a car and that she had previously met him and exchanged contact information with him on Snapchat.

Quakertown police reviewed surveillance video from the area and were later able to link a vehicle matching the victim's description to Sanchez, leading to his arrest.
