Columbia man charged with attempted murder in Conway shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – A 22-year-old Columbia man has been charged with five counts of attempted murder following a shooting in Conway.

The Conway Police Department (CPD) said Jayden Brown approached a group of people with a handgun near Austin Avenue around 11 p.m. on August 15 and fired several shots at them.

A CPD warrant states that a person was shot in the thigh and requires medical attention. The victim's identity and current condition are unknown at this time.

In addition to the attempted murder charges, Brown was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
