MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The man accused of injuring four people outside a popular Midtown hangout earlier this month was released from 201 Poplar on Monday.

Detawn Gunn, 30, is charged with 12 felony counts: five counts of attempted premeditated murder, five counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony and two counts of vandalism of property valued between $1,000 and $2,500.

Police allege that Gunn fired his shotgun at a man outside Railgarten on Central Avenue on the night of Friday, August 16, during a dispute over the victim's parking space.

Three bystanders were also injured by the shotgun pellets.

According to the affidavit, the license plate of Gunn's gray Lexus was also seen on several other vehicles after the shooting.

Gunn told investigators that he worked as a mechanic and swapped license plates between his cars.

Gunn was on the run for five days before he was arrested.

According to court documents, he was released on parole on Monday.

Shelby County Judge Bill Anderson is overseeing the case.

Gunn is scheduled to appear in court again on Tuesday, September 3.
