Two people charged with drug offenses after traffic stop in North Adams

North Adams arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop. Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Thursday. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested. A search of the vehicle found 36.6 grams of cocaine and crack, digital scales, packaging materials for distribution and $2.08 in cash.

Police stopped a vehicle on Thursday for a traffic violation. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested.

A search of the vehicle revealed 36.6 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, digital scales, distribution packaging materials and $2,008 in cash.

The male driver and female passenger were arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking and conspiracy. Police did not release their names.

The driver is charged with driving while suspended, failing to stop for police and failing to stop at a stop sign. He was held on $25,000 bail, while the passenger was held on $100,000 bail.
