Woman and 10-year-old daughter found dead at home in Thrissur

Thrissur: A 35-year-old Woman and her 10-year-old Daughter were found dead at their house in Kadangode, Neendoor, near Kechery around noon on Monday. The deceased were identified as Kandarassery Veettil Rekha and her daughter Arathy.
Rekha's mother Sumathi found the bodies of the two hanging in her room when she returned from work for lunch. The police have suicide A note can be seen in the room and based on this, the police suspect that this could be a case of suicide and family problems could be the trigger.
The Erumapetty police have registered a case of unnatural Death. Erumapetty station officials said they may change the section due to the discovery of the suicide note. The postmortem will be conducted on Tuesday.
Son held for father murder
Kottayam: A man, who was beaten with a sharp object by his son following a domestic dispute on Sunday afternoon, succumbed to his injuries on Monday. The deceased was identified as Shaji George, 57, of Kunnumbhagam near Kanjirappally. Police have taken George's son Rahul into custody from his house.
Drunk Rahul got into an argument with George and hit him with a sharp object. Although residents rushed Shaji to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
The police also confiscated the murder weapon from the house.
