Suspects arrested in Compton after armed home invasion in Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — At least two suspects are in custody following a horrific robbery in Sherman Oaks Monday night.

According to police, three armed suspects broke into a home around 9 p.m. while a woman was taking a shower. It is unclear what, if anything, they stole from the home. The woman was not injured.

Undercover officers had apparently already tracked the suspects and, with the help of an LAPD helicopter, followed them to a Compton neighborhood in the area of ​​152nd Street and Maye Avenue before attempting to arrest them.

One suspect was seen fleeing from officers through a neighborhood and onto a school campus before he was eventually arrested. Police continued to search for additional suspects.

Additionally, a second burglary was reported Monday evening in the Sherman Oaks area, in a neighborhood near the Fashion Square shopping center.
