Fatal accident on Highway 25

On August 26, at approximately 9:56 a.m., CHP was notified of a two-vehicle crash on State Route 25 south of Bolsa Road. Party #1, Amarjit Singh Pajwa, 70, was driving a 2017 Freightliner Cascadiaon SR-25 northbound south of Bolsa Road at approximately 60 mph. Party #2, John Doe, 68, was driving a 2022 Mack Anthemon SR-25 southbound south of Bolsa Road at approximately 40 mph. For unknown reasons, Pajwa crossed the double solid yellow line into the southbound lane, directly into the path of the Mack, and collided head-on. Both vehicles came to rest on the west shoulder with their trailers blocking the southbound lane. As a result of the accident, Doe succumbed to his injuries and Pajwa was thrown onto the west shoulder of State Route 25, where he sustained serious injuries. Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered to be a factor in the accident.
