Fragrant Story & Papaya's Path, plus more new releases and sales today – TouchArcade

Hello readers, and welcome to the August 26, 2024 SwitchArcade Round-Up. In today's article, we're starting the week off with a slightly lighter edition than usual. No reviews today as I'm busy with other projects, which means we just have a few new releases to go through, plus the usual new and expiring sales lists. Well, at least one of the new releases is interesting. The sales lists aren't too bad either. I'll hopefully have some reviews tomorrow. Let's get in there and see what we've got!

Selected new releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya's Way ($7.99)

Oh, the dirty story of Fragrant historyone of the presumably last Nintendo 3DS releases. There's a lot of confusion surrounding this game, so let me clear that up. While it appears to be a star-studded tactical RPG, those who bought the game upon its release were surprised to find that the game lasted a full twenty minutes. The real story? Nintendo's deadline for 3DS releases was fast approaching, so the developer put an unfinished game on the eShop. It was later updated to its intended form, a far more expansive game that clocks in at over ten hours. So don't worry if you read anything about this game being ridiculously short. It's not. This version already includes the updates and is a pretty solid buy for eight bucks if you're into the genre.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

A simple but functional platformer. It tries to keep things fresh throughout the 40 levels by gradually sprinkling in new gimmicks. For four dollars, it's quite entertaining.

Subway station ($7.90)

Something like an idle game where you try to pay off your debt by working in a dungeon. It doesn't look very fancy, but on a day when we have to dig through Moist Editions of AI-generated bikini anime girls, we'll take what we can get.
