Netflix's investigative crime drama 'Kohrra' returns for season 2, Mona Singh joins the cast – Firstpost

Kohrrathe multi-award-winning, gripping crime drama series, a Punjabi whodunnit that delves into the complexities of society, returns for a second season. Season 1 of the series was praised for its unique blend of crime, emotion and addressing the human psyche, with outstanding performances taking the story to new heights. Kohrra recently won the Best Series award in Melbourne and closer to home, the series swept the board at various award ceremonies in categories like Best Web Series, Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, etc.

This season also sees the announcement of a new cast member, the extremely talented and popular Mona Singh, who has been part of shows such as Kaala Paani, an audience favorite who is celebrated for adding weight to his roles. Fans across the world who have seen Mona in various roles across genres are expected to see her in a new light in this show. This season sees the return of rising actor Barun Sobti, appreciated for his nuanced portrayal of Garundi, a young cop focused on giving his best in a murky murder investigation while navigating his personal dreams and dilemmas. The show is directed by showrunner, producer and co-creator Sudip Sharma along with Faisal Rahman and produced by Act Three Productions and Film Squad Productions. This is Sudip Sharma's debut as a producer (Act Three Productions) and director.
