Lil Baby arrested in Las Vegas for illegal possession of weapons

Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. On Monday (August 26), the rapper, born Dominique Armani Jones, was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and held on $5,000 bail.

TMZ provided an update from Lil Baby's attorneys on Tuesday (August 27). Drew Findling and David Chesnoff told the outlet, “To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia concealed carry weapon (CCW) permit. On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances of his arrest in Las Vegas.” No further details about the arrest are available at this time.

The “Yes Indeed” spitter has had previous brushes with the law, when he was arrested for a minor marijuana possession offense in Paris in 2021. He was also arrested in 2018 for failing to properly signal while driving.

Although he hasn't released a solo project in nearly two years, the 29-year-old talent has been very active in terms of guest appearances in 2024. He has delivered standout features on recent tracks such as Tay B's “ALL TEN,” “FOREVER ROLLING” featuring Ye and Ty Dolla $ign, BossMan DLow's “PJ,” YTB Fatt's “What Happened,” Byron Messia's “Choppa,” Central Cee's viral “BAND4BAND,” and more. In June, Baby was named Songwriter of the Year at the 2024 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

The Atlanta artist's last full-length work was in 2022 It's just me, which included popular hits like “California Breeze” and “In A Minute” and boasted a wealth of support from his peers including Young Thug, Fridayy, EST Gee, Nardo Wick, Future and more.
