Incident at Hai Long offshore wind project leaves fatalities and several injured



On August 20, a tragic incident occurred at the Changhua onshore substation site of the Hai Long offshore wind project, resulting in numerous injuries and fatalities, according to an update on the incident today.

The project team expressed its deepest sympathy to the victims and their families, expressed its condolences and promised support during this difficult time.


Hai Long Project and its contractor TECO Electric & Machinery are cooperating fully with the authorities in a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the incident. The company reiterated its commitment to the safety of all project employees and stressed the importance of preventing future incidents.
