The footage, shot by the late Bowie collaborator and photographer Mick Rockcomes from the Ziggy Stardust tour in Great Britain in 1972/1973 and Bowie sings the album's classic “Starman.”

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars's first-ever Dolby Atmos release will arrive on streaming services and Blu-ray audio on September 6. The release includes four versions of the album: the 2024 Dolby Atmos Mix, 2024 Stereo, and two different versions of the original 1972 Stereo Mix – 2012 Remaster.

“(Bowie) was so theatrical that I think the ability to put him in an immersive place makes this a really good choice for an Atmos mix,” Ken Scottthe co-producer Ziggy Stardustshares. “My whole philosophy was to make it more like a live experience. Hopefully it just feels like you're in the theater and this incredible show is going on.”

The new Ziggy Stardust Dolby Atmos Blu-ray is available for pre-order Now.
